Training & Development
The first day of your employment is spent on a induction programme which includes familiarisation tours of the hotel, health and safety, staff induction manual which explains policies and procedures of the hotel operation. This induction also includes having lunch in our Bar so the employee can get a feel for the type of service we offer our guests.
Local Information
The Hotel is situated in Wicklow Town with local shops, pubs, Nightclubs and small Supermarkets. The nearest large town is Arklow or Bray about 25 minutes away from Wicklow. Bray and Arklow have a larger range of shopping facilities and commuting to the City Centre.
In Wicklow there are many facilities to choose from as well as banks, restaurants and pubs, small supermarket, and specialist shops. There is also a Doctor, Dentist, Chemist, Catholic Church and Protestant Church.
The city of Dublin (38 km) is 40 minutes away from The Grand Hotel and can be reached by train from Wicklow station or by bus from outside the hotel.
